Temperance

tem·per·ance

  [tem-per-uh ns, tem-pruh ns]
noun

1. moderation or self restraint in action, statement, etc.; self-control

Beautiful name for a beautiful lady. This interview will help you decide whether the definition fits. Temperance has no problem saying what she feels and will say it however she sees fit. She is the first to admit that she has a lot of "mouth" but she's one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

McDeedus: Here we go folks! #Twitter10 with @ImAVirtue! For those that don't know, which virtue are you?

Temperance: Temperance

M: 1 Are you the same on/off twitter?

T: Same, except I don't cuss as much.

M: Gotcha. 2 What is the most significant thing you have learned about life so far?

T: I've learned to not worry about things you can't control. Deal with it and move on. Do what makes you happy, WHATEVER that is!

M: 3 Would u approach a guy to let him know you're interested?

T: Yes. I'm very confident, but I'm not gonna go over the top. He will know I'm interested without me bending over in front of him lol

M: 4 Is it better to follow your head or your heart?

T: I don't think u can really separate the two. They both play a big part in any decision and they both can get u screwed in the end.

M: :-( 5 Would you date a man your friends hate?

T: No. My circle of friends hasn't changed in years. They know me and love me. They ALWAYS have my best interest in mind.

M: 6 If you could pick one quality for your boys, what would it be?

T: Ambition. I don't want them to feel limited in any way. The world is theirs for the taking. That's why I'm determined to finish college myself to set the example for them.

M: 7 Does being called "female" offend you?

T: lmaooooooooo no. Being a female doesn't bother me at all.

M: Same here. 8 What is the first thing you notice about a man?

T: His face. IDC,IDC,IDC. I ain't gone get to your personality or nothin else if I can't stand to look at your face..

M: 9 Are you the type of woman you would like for your boys to date?

T: Yes, minus the mouth. I'm pretty chill and don't bother anyone but I can be a handful at times.

M: Last one. 10 what makes you different than any other woman?

T: I don't think I'm that different. Some women just choose to learn from their mistakes and others don't. We've all been thru something whether it's self inflicted or not. I know what I will and won't tolerate, but as women get older they tend to BEND just to have somebody. My dignity is not negotiable and my respect is not either. You will respect me or there is no place for you in my life

M: Well, there you have it. Anything you want to leave with the people?

T: Yes. If you have an issue with me, at least make sure it's something I did to you, not to your ears. Somebody will get that later

Temperance does not want to be guilty by association.

Dee

There are those who are trolls, those who like an abundance of attention, and those who get it right. Dee is the latter. He has the perfect amount of humor and logic that twitter needs. The once self proclaimed "Philosophical Negro" will ensure at least one laugh a day. Search his followers and most will have at least one tweet of his in their favorites. Check him out below.

McDeedus: 1 Are your tweets an accurate representation of you?

Dee: Yes. Everything I say here I'd say in real life and have.

M: 2 What is a common misconception that people have about you based on your tweets?

D: That I'm a serious person when they meet me in real life. If I don't know you I don't say much at first.

M: I could see that. 3 if you could choose something in which you could be phenomenal, what would it be?

D: I'd love to be a really good athlete. Like someone real gifted like a Jordan or Jerry Rice.

M: Nice. 4 when it comes to women you would like to date, how interested are you in their "body count"?

D: As long as you haven't messed with anyone close to me I don't really concern myself with your past history. If your past is extensive, chances are I would've heard about you anyway. Birmingham isn't big and [men] are very aware of who does what.

M: 5 If you could know one thing about your future without the butterfly effect, what would it be?

D: It would be interesting to know who I end up with. I plan to be married, but I'm not close at this moment.

M: 6 Would you allow your woman full access to your cellphone?

D: Nah. We shouldn't monitor each other like that. If you don't trust who you are with, why are you with them in the first place?

M: 7 What is your biggest accomplishment?

D: Probably setting a good example for my younger cousins. I don't have any younger siblings, so I try and mentor them.

M: That's admirable. 8 would you rather do something you may regret or regret not doing something?

D: I'd rather do something I may regret. Regretting not doing something is hard. I believe in at least trying at something.

M: OK now... 9 please explain the motivation begin the infamous "in yo quick weave life" tweet.

D: LOL! It was inspired by a follower (I won't name) who is often confused about why she receives attention. It isn't her face.

M: LOL. Last one. 10 who is your biggest influence and what have they taught you?

D: My older sisters are my biggest influence. They've accomplished a lot and set a good example and understand me more than anyone.

M: And #dassit!! Anything you want to leave the people with?

D: If you have a mixtape or tryna get signed get the [expletive] out of my mentions. And have a nice Friday.

Narado

"Let Lily lick Lionel’s lusty leathers"

That's what Narado decided to do for a mic check for my first on camera #Twitter10. This is a guy who is no stranger to controversy and will speak his mind no matter what the hate replies will be. He was one of the first people that came to mind when I decided to do these interviews. I knew there was more to him than what people saw via his tweets. I once asked him "has anyone ever threatened to beat your [expletive] over your tweets?" His response was simple. "I'm from Norwood." I love it.  Check out some highlights below but be sure to click the link for the full interview.

McDeedus: What is sacred to you?
Narado: My relationship with God, my family, the truth, and reality. My piece of mind is probably what’s most sacred to me

M: Why can’t men cheat?

N: Me saying men can’t cheat is mostly about man’s relationship to sex. It isn’t emotional. For a man sex doesn’t have anything to do with emotional connection and with the downgrade of women being more readily available for just sex, it breeds a situation for a man to have sex and nothing else…

M: Who do you trust?

N: I trust Jesus. I trust God. I trust the Holy Spirit. I trust me. After that point it’s subjective.

M: Hoes be winning?

N: Hoes be losing! It appears hoes be winning if you care about the wrong [expletive]. Hoes are like Scarface…

M: You frequently use the word “f” word that gay people don’t like.  Many would call you homophobic. Are you?

N: I say [censored] a lot does that make me a racist? I’m not homophobic at all. No gay person that I’m friends with or close to have heard me use that word in terms of homosexuality…

M: Is the amount of time a woman takes to have sex with you a determining factor in whether you will pursue a relationship with her?

N:Absolutely, it matters a lot. There’s not a too late, there is a too soon…It’s all about the timing.
M: When your time on earth is done, what would you most like to have accomplished?

N:God’s will.

M: Is the expectation of monogamy unrealistic when dating?
N: In the beginning it is. Dudes is [expletive]…

M: What is your biggest fear?
N: Displeasing God. I don’t really have any fears that are earthly…Other than that you know what my biggest fear is? Going bald. I know that seems trivial but the one thing I am afraid of is going bald.

That's all for now! Check back for part 2.

Devon

The first day I mentioned picking people's brain, Devon (@dev_story) was one of the first people who not only volunteered, but gave an awesome interview. She shoots straight from the hip and will never cease to amaze you with her thoughts. One of America's best #salute. Enjoy!

McDeedus: Here we go folks! Another installment of #Twitter10. Today we have Devon. Tell the folks something about yourself.

Devon: Most people don't know I'm in the Army.

M: What's the longest romantic relationship you've been in?

D: 33 years and that's the relationship I've had with myself, but I'm in a relationship again with my last boyfriend.

M: Would you date someone you met on twitter?

D: I wouldn't say no because I believe you can meet great people in any circumstances.

M: You have "evil twin sister" in your bio. Do u think people have a perception of you based on your brother(s) tweets?

D: Most definitely because we are so much alike it's scary.

M: Define thirst.

D: An abundance of neediness be it needing someone in your life or wanting to be a part of someone's life.

M: What's the best material gift you've ever received?

D: That's a hard one because I've received many gifts but I'd have to say anything my mother or brother has given me.

M: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

D: The fact that I'm so hard on myself. I'm my own worst critic.

M: Would you date outside your race?

D: Yes and I have. I really enjoyed the experiences. I dated a white guy and a Puerto Rican guy.

M: Have any of your friendships/relationships been ruined because of twitter?

D: No because I don't take anything on here seriously. It's entertainment for me.

M: If you could do anything and get paid for it, what would you do?

D: Wow that's a good one. I would travel the world and experience other cultures. I guess you could say I'm doing that now. I would love to shop for a living too.

M: I think we would ALL love that! Anything else you want to say?

D: I'm actually a very nice and giving person until you cross me. I'm also a neat freak and I'm a type A personality.
